Plus: NFL Weekend Highlights, Roll Tide, and Game 7 in Texas!
Good Morning, and welcome to Savage Sports. To anyone who bet the over on the Kansas City game, we are sincerely and deeply sorry for your loss. Not only did you have to endure 60 minutes of Taylor Swift coverage, but you also had 41 points scored in the first half. The over/under was 48.5. How could you possibly lose?
7 points in the second half 💀.
That’s the ball game in Kansas City.
Over 48.5 bettors are in absolute shambles:

Eagles Power Past Dolphins, Controversial Calls Take Center Stage
The Philadelphia Eagles bounced back from last week’s loss to the New York Jets, pulling off a convincing 31-17 victory over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
Jalen Hurts had a solid performance, going 23-of-31 for 279 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. On the other side of the ball, the Eagles’ defense did its job effectively, limiting Miami’s potent offense to just 244 yards, well below their average of 498.7 yards per game.
The Eagles now sit comfortably at 6-1, while the Dolphins stumble to a 5-2 record. The win underscores Philadelphia’s effective strategy in shutting down Miami’s offense, holding them to season lows in points, yards, and first downs.
Now, I’m no Dolphins fan, but c’mon. I am not saying this is the reason the Dolphins lost the game, but the NFL needs to do better.
Philly fan or Dolphin fan or whoever you’re team is.
This was 100% the worst game I’ve ever seen and no one can argue it.
Game altering calls that we’re not called, AT ALL- on the Eagles.
11 penalties on the Dolphins
0 penalties on the EaglesYou do the math.

What happened to Detroit being one of the top (if not THE TOP) teams in the league? Lamar Jackson happened.

Alabama Stages Huge Comeback. SEC Hopes Alive

Alabama turned the tide (see what I did there) in a thrilling 34-20 victory over Tennessee, extending their home winning streak in this rivalry to 10 games.
Down 20-7 at halftime, Alabama’s third-quarter resurgence was the game-changer. Quarterback Jalen Milroe, recovering from a shaky performance last week, connected with Isaiah Bond for a 46-yard touchdown early in the second half.
Alabama’s defense then clamped down, allowing Tennessee just 37 yards and a single first down in that crucial third quarter.

Despite Tennessee entering the game as the No. 6 nationally ranked team in yards rushing per game, Alabama’s defense left them struggling, restricting their running back trio to just 72 yards on 23 carries.
The win makes Alabama 7-1 overall, still leading the SEC West, while Tennessee drops to 5-2. With the performance, Alabama reaffirms its spot as a strong contender, proving it can compete at the highest levels and potentially clinch a spot in the College Football Playoff.
We’ll see.

Game 7 In Texas!
We knew this Texas series was going to be a battle, and that is exactly what we got. The Rangers are alive and forced a Game 7 after a decisive 9-2 victory in Houston last night.
Adolis Garcia capped the win with a Grand Slam in the 9th, but the real story from the weekend was the plunking he took in the 8th inning on Friday.

Houston went on to win that game in dramatic fashion thanks to an Altuve home run in the ninth.
The stakes are high, and there is now some bad blood between these two teams. Game 7 is tonight as the Rangers hand the ball to three-time Cy Young Award winner, Max Scherzer, in hopes he can bounce back from his first post-season appearance.
Christian Javier, who threw the bulk of a no-hitter in the World Series last year, takes the mound for Houston.
